well...lemme summarize the trip...
- stayed a nite in Hat Yai. didnt buy much.
- flew to Chiang Mai...
- people here really have great respect for the Buddhist monks..and the king, too. it's now currently the celebration of the king's 60th year on the throne. they celebrate for ONE MONTH man...oh and there's the King's picture everywhere,u'd think they worshipped the King too!!
- i visited the "'long neck'' tribe..u knw, where the women wear heavy rings around their necks to elongate their necks..oh they wear it below the knee too (lazy to put up pics) but they dun let men tourists take pic with them =S
- oh then we went to this Hot Spring, kononnya....its just like a paip bocor u knw...the water shoots out from the ground, and it juz flows uncollected..and there's a toilet beside it -_-"....the people use the water to boil eggs,haha..so around there all the gerai sell hard boil eggs with soya sauce
- then i went to the Golden Triangle..its the point where Laos,Cambodia, and Thailand meets....there's this thing where the tribal people there dress yound girls (bout 4-6 years old) in traditional costumes and make them go around asking ppl if they wanna snap a pic with them...for 20bahts...thats 2ringgit...child labour,i say!!
- oh and we went to the northern most part of Thai....the Thai-Myanmar border....and u knw wat the ''border'' was??? a small river..(it looks like the monsoon drains in Klang)...and THATS suppose to be a tourist attraction??
- also went for some river cruise thing....oh btw,do u knw that the Siamese calls nasi pulut ''sticky rice''??hahaha...i shud think that it's glutinous rice, yes?
that's about all there is that is worth telling,really...i didnt buy many things either... truth is,we spent more money on transportation than anything else...oh btw, thailand toilets are DEFINITELY better than ours.yup yup...
