Don't kill the blog! :(

Hi guys,

How's everyone?

Thought I'd update since I haven't done so in ages (years?). It'll be short (have work to do :( ) but it's better than nothing, right?

Well, it's week 10 of sem 2, my last week of uni before the long-awaited mid-term break (yay!). We get two weeks off and then go back to uni for 3 weeks before we have our final exams. It's really silly how we have the mid term break only after 10 weeks. Everyone's pretty much suffering from a burnout by now...
This sem has been hectic to say the least. At one point I had like 5 assignments due and 2 exams in the space of 2 weeks. Didn't think I would survive! Really glad that's over...

Anyway, I'm working on a lego robotics project at the moment. It's pretty fun.. I feel like a kid again, playing with Lego :). I have to get it to navigate through a maze. It's not working just yet but hopefully it will. I have to give a seminar about it too. Not looking forward to that... But I'm not half as bad at presenting as I was in school anymore, thankfully. Haha. Like seriously, how bad was I? o_o

Ok, I gotta get back to working on my Physics assignment now. Is anyone doing Physics? Special Relativity is so hard to get your head around! It's such a cool concept though. Here's a bit of trivia for ya.. Did you know that time slows down for objects moving close to the speed of light? Physics is seriously awesome :).
Hmm I think I shall end my post with some random pics of stuff

This is a tiny google streetview image of the house I'm living in... I get to move on campus next sem. Can't wait!

Canberra centre... The biggest mall around here. It's not too bad although it's nowhere as big as 1U and midvalley.

Uni Avenue during winter. I love how hauntingly beautiful the bare winter trees look... I'm not a very good photographer. The picture doesn't quite do them justice.

And this is Amy, the baby I live with. She's about 18 months old and learning how to talk :).

Yea, that's it for now..

Don't kill the blog kl!

Copy - Pasting

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.

The question was: What do women really want?

Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, And to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, He accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end. He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: The princess, the priests, the wise men, and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.

Many people advised him to consult the old witch, For only she would have the answer. But the price would be high as the witch was famous through out the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged. The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first. The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, The most noble of the Knights of the Round Table, And Arthur's closest friend! Young Arthur was horrified.

She was hunch-backed and hideous, had only one tooth, Smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden, but Lancelot, having learnt of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life. And the Round Table. Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered.

Arthur's question thus: 'What a woman really wants?' She said, 'Is to be in charge of her own life.'Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth. And that Arthur's life would be spared. And so it was. The neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom. And Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding. The honeymoon hour approached and, Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific
experience, entered the bedroom but, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed.

The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened. The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, She would henceforth be her horrible and deformed self only half the time. And the beautiful maiden the other half.

Which would you prefer? She asked him. 'Beautiful during the day ..... or at night?'Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day he could have a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch! Or, Would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day? But by night a beautiful woman for him to share his thoughts, intimate moments with?

What would YOUR choice be?

What Lancelot chose, is given below:
Noble Lancelot, knowing the answer the witch gave Arthur to his question, He said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself. Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time. Because, he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.

Now... what is the moral to this story?
1) There is witch in every woman no matter how beautiful she is!
2) If you don't let a woman have her own way, things are going to get ugly.

So, always remember:
IT'S EITHER 'HER WAY' OR IT'S 'NO WAY' !!!

well... what now?

sigh... the feeling of finality is closing in...

its been 2 years since we parted and so many of us are now gone.
US, Australia, India... not just the overseas people are distant now.
even those closer to home have become almost strangers - the man on the street you say "hi" just to be polite.

*sigh*
so.... what now? where do we go from here? do we let our bond fall apart like sand through our fingers...? personally... i dunno. it was a hell of a good 2 years i spent with you guys...and some even more than that.

making friends, losing friends...

*sigh*
